But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you. (Rev. 3:3)

Great deception is afoot in the churches today, happening right before our very eyes. In fact, it may have already come to your church. False doctrines, a different gospel, and even doctrines of demons have been introduced into many churches via books, music, videos, teachers and movements that claim to be of God. Please read the articles on this site from a wide variety of denominations and authors on the subject of deception in the church before you encourage anyone from your church to go to meetings where false teachers claim to be able to transfer the Holy Spirit by the laying on of hands and subsequently soften people up to receive false doctrines, which can ultimately shipwreck their faith or prevent them from ever coming to salvation in Christ. Since the linked articles on these pages are from a wide variety of sources, we do not necessarily agree with every word contained in them. In general, however, they do represent good Scriptural apologetics on the subject of the current "Third Wave" or "New Apostolic Reformation" movement and other unbiblilcal groups. If you have already seen negative fruit from these movements, or if you have other doctrinal objections to any extra Biblical group mentioned on this site ... or have any other comment ... your comments are welcome. Willow Creek Church & Bill Hybels' Theology - Biblical Christianity Or Church Of Laodecia? by James Sundquist, Rock Salt Publishing

There is an epidemic movement which has infected even the most conservative denominations and seminaries, which began in the United States more than a decade ago, and is now being manifested throughout the Church globally. One of the founders of this "seeker-friendly" movement is Bill Hybels, Senior Pastor of Willowcreek Church in the Chicago area.

The Dangerous Time Of False Unity by Ken Silva, 2/14/13

The times we are living in are dangerous for the true members of the Body of Christ as we near the end of this age of God’s grace. Before us is the shiny lure of the seeker sensitive Church Growth Movement, with its so-called Purpose Driven life, and the corrupt Contemplative Spirituality/Mysticism introduced through the postmodern liberal cult of the Emerging Church converging upon the ecumenical road that leads right back to the apostate Roman Catholic Church.

Pope Francis Rejects God's Word Again

Written by Mike Gendron on .

Once again we see the pope suppressing the truth of God's Word for the purpose of fulfilling prophecy and uniting all the religions and people of the world under the papacy. Yesterday Pope Francis penned a long letter to La Repubblica that, not only violated Catholic teaching, but the Word of God.

The Ecumenical Apostasy of New Evangelicals - Berean Beacon

Because many Evangelicals have a poor grasp of the Gospel, biblical doctrine, and church history, they leave themselves vulnerable to Roman Catholicism.  The Papacy, ever the enemy of Evangelicals, has been very adept at assessing these weaknesses and fifty years ago formulated new methods by which to snare unsuspecting Bible believers into its net.

An Open Letter to Christian Leaders: Please Tell Us Where We Are Wrong

For over 11 years, Lighthouse Trails has been issuing a warning about a mystical spirituality, known as contemplative prayer, which is coming through the conduit of the Spiritual Formation movement. It has not been an easy road to travel on, but through the Word of God and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we saw this paradigm shift, which was affecting a large segment of the evangelical and Protestant church and lining up with biblical prophecy of a day coming when there will be great deception and many would fall away from the faith. We also became completely convinced that the roots of contemplative spirituality were based in panentheism (God in all), interspirituality (all paths lead to God), and universalism (everyone is united with God in spite of belief)
